Strictly: Daisy Lowe plunged into dance-off for second week running

The model is obviously not proving popular with those at home

Model Daisy Lowe has once again found herself in the Strictly dance-off as viewers continue to not vote for her in the droves required to keep her out of the bottom two.

Fortunately, she was once again been saved by the judges as they decided to send Anastaia packing from Strictly Come Dancing 2016.

This weekend had seen spiders, witches, broomsticks and ghosts invaded the Strictly ballroom for the Fright Night Halloween special – the spookiest event in the Strictly Come Dancing calendar!

It was Daisy and Anastacia that put the frighteners on viewers as they found themselves dancing for survival with their professional partners Aljaž Škorjanec and Brendan Cole.

Both couples performed their routines again; Anastacia and Brendan danced their Jive to ‘Bat Out Of Hell’ by Meat Loaf and Daisy and Aljaž danced their Paso Doble to ‘Please Don’t Let Me Be Misunderstood’ by Santa Esmeralda in a bid to impress the judges and remain in the competition.

It was a unanimous decision though from the judges.

Craig Revel Horwood chose to save Daisy and Aljaž saying: “I’d like to save the more powerful and better dance of the night and I believe that couple is Daisy and Aljaz.”

Darcey Bussell backed this up: “It’s really tough of course when people are in the dance off and hard to make this choice but the couple I would like to save, for their dance quality and performance, is Daisy and Aljaz.”

Bruno Tonioli also chose Daisy: “First of all I’d like to say both girls put up a fierce fight, I like that, fighters to the end, but overall I would like to choose the couple that satisfied me with content, gave me quality of movement, power of performance – Daisy and Aljaz.”

Head Judge Len Goodman said he agreed with his colleagues and he would save them too, leaving Anastacia facing the exit door.

Anastacia said about her departure: “I’ve really enjoyed being here.

“This was a place for me to get to know my ‘female’ and this place allowed me to do that; the hair, the make-up, the production, the judges gave me great comments, you (Tess) and Claudia have been amazing.

The way you run this family, this family is beautiful and you (Brendan) are amazing. Thanks for everything.”

Brendan Cole added: “This programme will miss you. I will miss you.

Thank you for teaching me so much about everything and for being a fantastic partner. Thank you so much, what a great ride!”
