EastEnders’ Steve McFadden re-works Sia hit as ‘Cheap Phills’ and it’s HILARIOUS!

He gives us cheap thrills with his amazing cover

EastEnders hardman Phil Mitchell is not someone that likes to break into a song and dance.

In actual fact, the only time that Phil lights up Albert Square with his dulcet tones, is after he’s had one too many and he wants the world to know.

EastEnders stalwart Steve McFadden, who plays the legendary soap character, has given a taste of what Phil could bring to the table if he ever fancied tackling the X Factor process.

While appearing on Birmingham’s Capital FM Breakfast Show, Steve took on Sia’s Cheap Thrills and the result is epic!

The aptly altered lyrics of ‘Cheap Phills’ were delivered by Steve in the usual gruffness of Phil Mitchell.

Eschewing the speed of the song, the 57-year-old actor decided that Sia can wait for him to get there in his own time.

If you ever wanted to hear Phil sing about painting his nails and strapping his high heels on, then this is your dream come true.

It has been quite a few weeks for Steve, as he embraced freshers’ week at the University of Plymouth, where he even stepped into the DJ booth.

This week, Steve scooped the Best Actor award at the Inside Soap Awards for his role in EastEnders.

Speaking about his character, Steve said: “Behind what [Phil] does, he’s a good-hearted man, so he’ll do something terrible, but in his rationale, it makes sense.”

What will make sense now is if we see Steve in front of Simon Cowell and his fellow X Factor judges, after deciding take his singing abilities further.
