Proud new mum Stephanie Davis has taken to Twitter for the first time since Christmas to share an adorable snap of her with her newborn son, who arrived into the world yesterday.
The actress was in labour for 48 hours before her longed-for baby made his entrance.
Posting a black and white shot of the two of them, the 23-year-old also took the opportunity to thank her fans and followers for their support.
She captioned the shot – which features her tiny son’s perfect little figure nails – ‘The day my world became complete’.
How utterly lovely.
Meanwhile, her ex Jeremy McConnell is showing no signs of making peace.
Just hours after Steph gave birth to the baby boy she claims he is the father of, the Irish model made an apparent – and very unpleasant – dig at her.
Currently partying it up on holiday with friends in Thailand, he posted a video on social media platform Snapchat with the caption: “Get the kid a psychologist.”
Another video was captioned: “Yes a son.”
Jeremy has claimed that, if the baby is indeed his, he will step up to his duties, adding that he reached out to Steph at the end of last year.
His public statement yesterday read: “I am delighted that Steph has safely had the baby, of course if he is my son I will absolutely step up and do what I can to support him.
“Any timescale for that is in Steph’s hands now. I did reach out to her some weeks ago but didn’t hear back.”
However, her reps have told the Mirror Online: “He has never reached out and she’s all alone with her son.
“She is happy, but disappointed and saddened that Jeremy would resort to the media to peddle lies.”
Steph gave birth to her son in hospital in Liverpool yesterday, with her reps making an announcement about the arrival in the evening.
In a statement to OK! Magazine, a representative explained: “We can confirm our client Stephanie Davis today gave birth to a baby boy in Liverpool. Mother & baby are doing fine.”
Steph and Jez got together in the Celebrity Big Brother house last January, splitting before the Hollyoaks actress announced she was pregnant.
Jez denied he was the father and refused to take a paternity test before the child arrived.
There’s been plenty of mud slinging on both sides since then. Hopefully now there’s an innocent baby’s welfare to consider, it will put a kinder complexion on things…
