Steph Davis “out of her mind with worry” as McConnell goes missing

Father of her child believed to be on a binge

Steph Davis and Jez McConnell’s turbulent on-off relationship has gobbled up more column inches than we’ve had hot dinners.

First, he appeared in court accused of assaulting her. Then neighbours complained that their blazing rows were disturbing the whole street.

And there seemed to be yet more trouble for the former Celebrity Big Brother stars this week after Jez went missing for two days, sending Steph into a state of worry.

The Irish-born model, 27, reportedly holed himself up in a village hotel in Merseyside, with pals believing he was on a cocaine bender.

And Steph, 24, was so “out of her mind with worry” that she sent an ambulance to the property – but Jez had already left by the time it arrived.

A friend said at the time: “Stephanie is searching for Jeremy, as it sounds like he’s been on a two-day coke bender. An ambulance was sent to the hotel, but he’d moved on.”

It later transpired that Jez had headed to his hometown of Dublin.

Last night, Steph appeared on Big Brother’s Bit On The Side, where she managed to laugh and joke about the problems she and Jez have had.

Luckily, it all seemed to have sorted itself out by this afternoon, with Steph posting a tweet that appeared to show the couple had been reunited.

The pair, who met in the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2016, have a son – Caben-Albi – together.

Despite their ups and downs, Steph insists that things are going well.

“I wouldn’t change what Jeremy and I have, or how we met,” she said on Big Brother’s Bit On The Side. “It’s made us who we are, and I love that.”
