With just a couple of weeks to go before Stephanie Davis gives birth to her baby son, the actress and singer has revealed that she has delayed having a DNA test on her baby because it is too dangerous.
The former Hollyoaks star is feeling pressured by her Celebrity Big Brother ex-boyfriend Jeremy O’Connell to find out if the baby is his after a fling they had.
Steph is adamant that he is the father of her unborn son, but angry and bitter Jeremy is convinced otherwise.
“Jeremy knows the truth,” Stephanie told New! magazine, but revealed that when she does have the test, she wont be doing it on Jeremy Kyle!
“I’m keeping that private. I’ll sort that with him,” she said.
“If I could have done one straight away, I would have, but it was too dangerous for the baby.”
Jeremy, who Steph claims was a different man in real life to the one she met in the CBB house, attacked her on social media after their bitter split and accused her of being with other men – something she vehemently denies.
When Steph announced she was pregnant with his child, an uncharitable Jeremy tweeted: “That’s ridiculous. I’m not going to be a dad. If she is pregnant, it’s not mine.
“If I was a dad, I’d be 100 percent no, 110 percent, the best dad in the world.
“But you’ll see in the future that it’s not my kid, and she’ll look like a mug.”
Jeremy released a statement to Loose Women a while back to explain why he was so keen on having a DNA test: “In the months after we split, I saw videos online of her in bed with guys, which is why I said I would ask for a test to prove I’m the dad.
“Having a baby won’t fix what me and Steph tried to fix so many times.”
