Emmerdale star teases that there could be ANOTHER murder on the horizon

Gripping storyline is set to continue for a while yet...

The Emma Barton saga has given Emmerdale fans plenty of edge-of-your-seat thrills – and the drama is set to continue for a good while yet.

With Moira Dingle owning up to the nightmare nurse’s murder last week, you’d think it’s only a matter of time before that particular storyline is done and dusted.

However, according to actor Michael Parr, who plays Emma’s son Ross, there’s plenty more action to come.

Appearing on today’s This Morning, he revealed that we might even see ANOTHER murder after Moira’s dark secret comes to light.

Michael, 31, was on the programme to talk about ITV’s Christmas Eve show, All Star Musicals, in which he and several other celebrities will perform songs at the London Palladium.

But inevitably, the discussion turned to Emmerdale’s riveting Emma Barton storyline, and Michael shed some light on what we can expect in the near future.

He told Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford: “It was revealed last week that Ross didn’t actually [commit the murder], but he did play a big part in his mother’s demise.

“In the next coming weeks, you’re going to see that Ross finds out who did it.

“And then it’s: ‘What does Ross do?’ So we may have another murder on our hands.”

Michael didn’t reveal any more than that – but that may be because he doesn’t know what’s going to happen himself!

He explained that the storyline has been kept top secret so as not to ruin the surprise for viewers.

Said the Merseyside-born star: “These things have a habit of getting out, and once it’s been released it spoils it for everybody, so we filmed multiple different endings.

“And then it all came down to the power of the edit. The editors decided who was going to do it. So we were all nervous that our jobs were on the line!”

It’s probably fair to say that it WON’T be Moira who’s killed in the aforementioned cliffhanger.

Last week, the actress who plays her, Natalie J Robb, revealed on This Morning that she’s signed a new contract.

She said: “I’ve just signed for another year, so you have another year of me yet!

“I was quite grateful to be involved with [the storyline], to be honest. When they described it to me, it hadn’t been written at that point.

“I enjoyed all the twists and turns and curveballs. It was nice to be part of that.”
