EastEnders star Lacey Turner reveals surprise baby plans following dream wedding

She's married her childhood sweetheart

EastEnders actress Lacey Turner has tied the knot with her childhood sweetheart Matt Kay in an Ibiza wedding ceremony.

The soap star, 29, has now opened up on their plans for a family.

Lacey met her new husband when they were 15 and now they’ve made things official in front of friends, family, and Lacey’s co-stars, on the sunkissed isle.

OK! Magazine covered the big day as the actress, wearing a beautiful champagne coloured gown, looked radiant as she said “I do”.

When asked if she wanted to start a family, she revealed to the magazine: “That would be nice. Please God, we carry on the Kays!

“I want four children.”

Although Matt wasn’t so sure about the number, adding that he only wanted three.

Lacey added: “When you have four children you need to start thinking about a minivan to put them all in, whereas three you just need a car. I don’t care though, I’ll have a minivan!”

The wedding was attended by lots of her EastEnders cast mates, past and present, including Laurie Brett (Jane Beale), Scott Maslen (Jack Branning), James Bye (Martin Fowler), Jake Wood (Max Branning), Aaron Sidwell (Steven Beale), and Barbara Windsor (Peggy Mitchell).

Lacey revealed that her excitement was in overdrive on her big day.

“I didn’t go to sleep until 5am on our wedding night as I was still so excited about the day and then I woke up at 8am!”

“On the day I couldn’t wait to get down the aisle and marry Matt.

“I was like: ‘hurry up, I want to get married’!”

The actress, who plays Stacey Fowler in the soap, added: “I wasn’t nervous walking down the aisle, which was strange as I can’t walk down a red carpet without wanting the ground to swallow me up.”

Lacey got engaged to Matt a year ago on a gondola in Venice and she told OK! at the time how shocked she was by his proposal.

As the Ibiza nuptials unfolded, Matt toasted his new wife in his speech saying he still gets butterflies every time he sees her.

“It’s so special that we met at such a young age,” he told OK! afterwards. “It doesn’t happen for a lot of people and I feel very lucky to have Lace in my life.”

“I just feel really lucky,” Lacey agreed.

Aw, you guys!
