It seems they aren't bothered about the bugs and critters in the jungle

EastEnders star Lacey Turner has revealed she would love to go on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

The much-loved soap star revealed she would be up for the challenge of the jungle but would struggle being so far away from home.

The actress, who plays Stacey Slater in the soap, also admitted she turned down an offer from one popular reality show, Strictly Come Dancing, because she “can’t dance” and doesn’t have the “guts”.

Speaking to OK! magazine about the dance competition Lacey, 29, said: “I have been asked to go on Strictly but I’m rubbish at dancing and I don’t really have the guts.

“I’d do it if it wasn’t on telly. I do think it’s a great show to do, though, as you learn a new skill.”

She went on to express her excitement to see her co-star Davood Ghadami [Kush in EastEnders] taking to the dance floor.

Lacey continued: “I’m so excited for Dav.

“I think he’s going to be amazing. It’s a great thing for him to do and he’ll love the experience.”

She might be scared of showing off her dancing skills but it seems she would be happy to deal with bugs and critters.

Revealing her desire to head out to the Aussie jungle Lacey said: “I’d like to do I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.”

But the star said there are just two slight problems, adding: “It’s just too far away from home and I’d be so hungry!”

During her chat with the mag Lacey also opened up about her upcoming wedding to fiance Matt Kay and how much they can’t wait to start a family together.

“We can’t wait to get married and fill our house with children,” she said.

And hairdresser Matt is definitely looking forward to becoming a dad. He added: “I’m really looking forward to becoming a dad.”

The couple have been together for 14 years and Matt decided to pop the question last year during a romantic trip to Venice.

Lacey revealed that they are planning on tying the knot abroad and she already has her wedding ring picked out.

“I’ve got my great nan’s wedding ring, which is 108 years old,” she said. “I was four when she passed away and she was the loveliest lady. I get a funny feeling when I put it on.”

But unlike many brides-to-be Lacey revealed that she doesn’t want a hen do.

Instead she wants her sister to organise a day out while they’re abroad.

She told the publication: “I’m not having a hen. My sister is organising something when we’re abroad.

“I just want a day out with my family and my girls.

“I don’t want anything hen related. I hate anything like that.”

Meanwhile Matt told all all about his boozy stag do in Manchester.

Matt revealed: “Ten friends and I went to Manchester.

“We went to my brother’s flat in West Hampstead at 9am and he had 50 shots of tequila laid out on the table so come 10am I was drunk.”

Lacey added: “He doesn’t really drink, so his mum and I were panicking, hoping he’d be alright.”

The two are set to exchange vows sometime very soon.
