Things just seem to go from bad to worse for Kerry Katona! After fans reported she was slurring her speech and ranting about her former bandmates during a public appearance recently, it’s been revealed that she’s also just been slapped with divorce papers to boot.
The Atomic Kitten singer has been served with official divorce papers from her estranged partner, bad boy George Kay.
The pair officially split over the summer, but it seems to have taken a while to get the paperwork in order – but it’s all going ahead now. They share a daughter, Dylan-Jorge, who’s three years old.
George’s representative Emma Gill from Vardags family law firm said: “George Kay has served a divorce petition upon Kerry Katona to end their six year relationship.
“His absolute priority is the well-being of their three-year-old daughter Dylan-Jorge and his step-children Heidi and Max. Happily all the children are spending time with George during this difficult period.”

“George is conscious of Kerry’s media profile and understands that there may be wider interest in this latest sad development.”
“He is also aware that much of the couple’s marriage and its subsequent breakdown has been carried out in the public sphere – but wishes to draw a line under that today, particularly in the interests of all the children, who are completely innocent parties in this unfortunate situation.
“He sincerely hopes that this difficult process will be concluded solely through legal channels and in as dignified a manner as possible.”
When the pair first split back in June, it was hardly a “conscious uncoupling” with the duo wishing each other all the happiness and love in the world – quite the opposite, in fact.
Kerry alleged that George had been abusive towards her, including spitting in her face and using cruel language.
George hit back, describing the allegations as “nonsense” and accusing Kerry of trying to paint him as a “pantomime villain.”
He then waded in with claims that Kerry had been unfaithful towards the end of their relationship, alleging that she had been messaging someone called James while the pair were in bed together.

But it seems the sad saga has finally reached its end, and we hope that Kerry, George, Dylan-Jorge and Kerry’s previous children with Westlife star Bryan McFadden are all able to carry on and be civil to each other.
