Stacey Solomon’s plans for Joe Swash if she dies first

She admitted it's a selfish way to look at it

Stacey Solomon had her fellow Loose Women stars in stitches after admitting she wants Joe Swash to “wallow for quite some time” after her death.

The other panellists said they hoped to pass away before their partners but Stacey, 29, said she wants Joe to go before she does.

What’s more, she even revealed that she wouldn’t want him to be happy, “for selfish reasons”, if she did die first.

She made the shock confession during a discussion about After Life, the new Netflix series from comedian Ricky Gervais, which deals with grief and personal loss.

Stacey said on today’s show: “I hope he can’t cope without me. I feel terrible saying that, I really do feel terrible. I don’t know why I open my mouth!

“I don’t want him to be happy without me. No, I want him to be happy, but I want him to go through a good period if I, god forbid, was to go first. Which I hope I don’t, again for selfish reasons.”

She continued: “But if that were the case, I’d want him to wallow for quite some time. It’s a terrible thing to say.”

Stacey is currently pregnant with their first child together, although they both have children from previous relationships.

Stacey has Leighton, 6, and Zachary, 11, and Joe has an 11-year-old son called Harry.

Just recently, Stacey admitted that she doesn’t particularly love being pregnant.

Speaking to The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine, the presenter said her hair is going grey and she’s been “horrifically sick”, adding: “Obviously I’m grateful and I wouldn’t want anyone to think I’m not elated, but I’m not in love with being pregnant.”

Joe announced the pregnancy last month with an emotional post on Instagram, joking that he initially thought Stacey had simply grown “bored senseless” of him.

He wrote: “Have been driving myself mad thinking that she’s bored senseless of me and can’t stand to be awake for longer than 10 minutes of my company…

“You can imagine my delight to find out that she still loves me and my company very much she’s just been growing a baby.

“I can’t begin to describe how happy we are to be able to share this wonderful news.”
