Blooming Stacey Solomon has joked she is keen to 'get her brain back' after blaming her pregnancy for scatty behaviour earlier today.
The 29-year-old TV personality, expecting her first child with partner Joe Swash, told her Instagram followers a hilarious story about how she became mixed up this morning during a family outing to the cinema.
The mum-of-two had already revealed to fans she would be taking her brood to the movies on Instagram Stories when she gave a glimpse of a bag full of crisps she intended to treat her kids to when settling in for the film. But Loose Women star Stacey later admitted she got confused over the location of the cinema, scuppering her family plans - and she reckons it is because she is expecting.
"My pregnancy brain reached a new low," she said during a string of mini broadcasts on the social media platform.
Recalling how she believed she had put the same postcode for the location of the cinema into her car’s Satnav as she did into her maps app on her phone when she and her group got into central London, Stace admitted she was stunned to find out she was supposed to be in Hertfordshire for the showing.
What I would like is my pre-pregnancy brain back. I miss it.
With just twenty minutes until the film began in Watford, Stacey decided to rejig her plans to keep the kids occupied and happy.
"So to avoid tears and upset I thought I’ll just take them around Soho and find something fun to do before going home," she explained.
Having wandered around the shops in the area and enjoyed treats such as Oreos and Pokemon drinks, Stace and her bunch eventually made for home.
But when they got back, the former X factor singer realised she had got the letters of the postcode jumbled up when she was looking to find the cinema from where she had parked in London - and she had been right about the showing being in the capital.
"We were right around the corner all along," she sighed, with frustration.
A mildly annoyed Stacey smiled: "I did a 30 mile round trip, spent twenty quid on parking and bought unnecessary, useless junk only to find out I didn’t have to and we could’ve gone to the cinema all along."
Joking about how she’s asked about looking forward to having her 'pre-pregnancy body back', Stacey added she’d much rather be less absent-minded.
"What I would like is my pre-pregnancy brain back. I miss it," she concluded.
