Stacey Solomon vows revenge on Joe Swash as he shares candid photo of her with baby son

You can do it, Stacey!

| Updated:

New mum Stacey Solomon has admitted that she feels “sad” and has opened up about her struggle to breastfeed son Rex.

The Loose Women star posted an adorable picture of herself and her newborn, who was born three weeks ago, and revealed that her day had been a “total write-off”.

She said: “I had so many plans and executed zero of them… I’m so behind with pumping, barely getting enough off in time for feeds.”

She also said that she was “dreading the sun going down” and asked her followers: “Did anyone else feel like that?”

Clearly feeling the mum guilt, Stacey added: “I needed to sleep so badly today but I get sad when I sleep through the day and I wake up and it’s nearly night time!”

She ended her post on an upbeat note, though, and said: “But it’s OK, tomorrow is a new day and I’ll be ready for it, probably, maybe, might actually not be though haha!”

She also hit back at a photograph that her prankster boyfriend Joe Swash had earlier posted to his Instagram.

Showing Stacey sprawled out on the sofa, sound asleep with a cushion balanced on her head, Joe said: “I promise this photo is 100% NOT set up! This was exactly how I found @staceysolomon when I got back from the gym.”

However, Stacey revealed all was not how it seemed.

She said: “P.S @realjoeswashy if you think I believe for one second that that pillow just happened to be there – you’re wrong!”

She also vowed to take her revenge and added: “I’ll get you back, right after I get my mind back [crying with laughter emoji]!”

Rex has struggled to feed and latch on properly, Stacey revealed (Credit: Instagram)

Stacey has been vocal about her struggles when it comes to breastfeeding Rex. The mum of three – who also has older sons Zachary and Leighton – explained that she is using a breast pump to “top up” Rex’s feeds because the tot “wasn’t feeding properly”.

She said: “Lots of people asking why I’m pumping so much… It’s a long story but I was told I had to.”

She continued: “Baby wasn’t feeding properly, and I don’t think I got the latch right in the beginning which didn’t help. My milk didn’t come in until day 5.”

She added: “I was told I needed to give top ups after every feed to make sure he gained enough weight. So now inevitably getting baby to suck from the boob is really difficult after he’s gotten used to the bottle.”

She revealed: “So at the moment I’m doing both to make sure he gains weight and hopefully he will get bigger and suck harder and for longer so that I can cut out all of the tops ups.”

However, taking things in her stride, she concluded: “But he may not so we just have to see how it goes.”
