Mum Stacey Solomon has been hailed “amazing” by her celebrity friends for sharing a very realistic picture after giving birth to her son.
The Loose Women star welcomed her little one a month early yesterday (May 23) and she shared a blood-splattered photo of her holding the newborn and looking exhausted.
The image, which captured 29-year-old Stacey just moments after her labour, is a far cry from many celebrity baby announcements, as it wasn’t about looking perfect.
Her partner Joe Swash penned the message that captioned her picture. He gushed that he was “forever in awe” of Stacey and their showbiz pals were in awe of how real they kept it.
Presenter Fearne Cotton lead the messages of congratulations and praised Stacey and Joe for the way they chose to announce the birth.
Mum-of-two Fearne wrote: “Wow, what a beautifully powerful picture! I’m thrilled for you both 💗.”
Kelly Brook agreed and added: “This is amazing 😍.”
Big Brother star Luisa Zissman also complimented the “beautiful” pic. She commented: “Amazing! This picture is totally beautiful ❤️ congrats to you and Joe. What a gorgeous caption too 💕💕.”
Meanwhile, TV host Kate Thornton also gave her advice to the couple after she gave birth to her son Ben prematurely 11 years ago.
She wrote: “Typing this with teary eyes. Congratulations you two ❤️ You are, and will be, the best parents any baby could hope for.
“I know it’s scary when they come early, I’ve just put my 11yr old prem baby to bed and it’s hard to believe now that he was once a 5lb handful of love. Sending you all the love in the world ❤️❤️❤️.”
Joe, 37, melted hearts with his emotional post for Stacey, who also has sons Zachary, 11, and Leighton, seven, from previous relationships.
The former EastEnders star said in the Instagram post: “This morning. A lot earlier than planned I watched the love of my life, bring a new life into the world.
“We are overwhelmed, overjoyed and apprehensive of what’s to come.
“Mummy and baby are well and resting. We are so grateful for all of the love, support and positivity we’ve received over the last 8 months.
“I’m lost for words to describe how I’m feeling.”

He added: “So for now, I’m going to spend the next few days and the rest of my life falling more in love with these two humans.
“I didn’t think it possible but, today I witnessed the impossible. My partner, my love, my life, you are a super human. I am forever in awe. Joe X.”
This morning (May 24), he confirmed that they welcomed a baby boy into the world.
