Stacey Solomon Outraged by Botox Advice at Age 28

Go, Stace!

| Updated:

Stacey Solomon has shared her anger after being advised to start having Botox and fillers… at the tender age of just 28.

The mum of two took to Instagram after a weekend visit to the salon took an unwanted turn.

Stacey’s always been a vocal advocate when it comes to body positivity and self-love, so unsurprisingly she wasn’t too happy when an employee offered her some anti-ageing advice.

Ranting away, the Loose Women star said: “Okay, so my faith in humanity was dented today when I went to a salon to get a facial where I was told… ‘you should start having Botox and fillers now before it’s too late’.

“How on earth are young girls supposed to be confident and happy in their own skin when it’s being fed to them (in professional health and wellness clinics) that they need to prevent ageing using Botox and fillers before it’s too late (AT THE RIPE OLD AGE OF 28!!!!!!).

“My goodness. I felt 10 years older walking out than I did walking in just because of that comment.”

Stacey went on to say she’s not against Botox or fillers, but she is against people advised to have a procedure which she thinks is unnecessary.

She alleged the beauty industry views ageing as a “disease”.

“I believe that people should do whatever makes them happy, if you want fillers and Botox there’s nothing wrong with that,” she said.

“But I don’t agree with it being pushed down your throat by people in that industry scaremongering and making the perfectly natural ageing process feel like a disease.

“Anyone out there if you fancy my penny’s worth, the best anti ageing you can do is look after your health and well-being.

“Anyway rant over lots of love.”

Stacey’s comments certainly struck a chord with fans, with one telling her: “Absolutely right! And I think it’s great you shout this out there!”

Many other fans told Stacey they were beauty therapists themselves and thoroughly disagreed with the advice she was given.

One wrote: “This infuriates me more than anything! Being a beauty therapist myself you should be filling ladies of all ages with confidence that they are perfect in their own skin and you 100% are! Ladies must stick together!”

Another added: “As a beauty therapist I find this disgusting, what an awful thing to tell someone! You certainly don’t need it, you’re beautiful as you are.”

We agree!
