It’s been an epic couple of days for Stacey Solomon. Eight months pregnant, she gave birth to her third child on Thursday morning.
Partner Joe Swash announced the arrival of their first child together – Stacey’s third, and his second – on social media that evening.
He revealed the joyful news, with a refreshingly ‘real’ picture of the mum with her newborn, accompanied by the loveliest of messages.
He wrote on Instagram: “This morning. A lot earlier than planned I watched the love of my life, bring a new life into the world.
“We are overwhelmed, overjoyed and apprehensive of what’s to come.
“Mummy and baby are well and resting. We are so grateful for all of the love, support and positivity we’ve received over the last 8 months.
“I’m lost for words to describe how I’m feeling.
“So for now, I’m going to spend the next few days and the rest of my life falling more in love with these two humans.
“I didn’t think it possible but, today I witnessed the impossible. My partner, my love, my life, you are a super human. I am forever in awe. Joe X”
He followed up the news on Friday morning, posing with the baby and revealing they had welcomed a boy, exciting news for their fans who had been desperate to know the gender.
The presenter, 37, posted a gorgeous black and white shot of himself kissing the new baby’s foot, declaring: “Good morning sonxxxxx.”
Stacey then broke her silence, revealing her delight with her new bundle of joy.
She wrote: “No matter how how intense these after birth pains are I’m smiling from ear to ear watching my family at @loosewomen celebrate my baby shower without me.
“Me and baby are so grateful to have you all in our lives we love you. I’m crying happy tears .”
This was followed by an exquisite photograph, taken by her dad David, which depicted the overwhelmed mum breastfeeding her bundle of joy.
On Friday evening, she thrilled fans by sharing the precious moment her older sons met their baby brother.
Zach, 11, and Leighton, six, looked delighted by the addition to their family.
The beautiful blended family is completed by Joe’s older son, 11-year-old Harry.
Today, the smitten mum shared a video of her tot making adorable little baby noises… and it was too much for her bursting heart to take!
Stacey revealed she’d already played it back a thousand times. We don’t blame her.
