TV star Stacey Solomon has opened up about being too afraid to leave her baby son Rex to have a date night with Joe Swash.
Keeping it real as always, Stacey shared a lengthy post on Instagram to explain why she is scared to leave little Rex with someone else.
The 29-year-old revealed the compromise she reached with Joe so they could spend some quality time together. She shared a snap of their cosy night in the back garden!
The Loose Women star posted a pic of herself with Joe and their little one and wrote alongside: “Date night…So I still haven’t plucked up the courage to leave the baby with someone for the night so that Joe and I can have a night to ourselves.”
She continued: “I do realise I’m probably taking longer than the average person but all in good time. There’s no need to rush is there? Joe’s dying to go out and have a date night so we’ve decided to have one in the garden.”
It comes after Stacey, who gave birth in May, bravely opened up about her fear of leaving the house within the first few weeks of having Rex.

Stacey even joked she washed for her garden date with Joe.
She added: “I’ve put on my best tracksuit and put my hair into a beautiful messy bun. I even put some moisturiser on my face and had a wash. He’s a lucky guy. At some point I might even put the baby down to bed and bring the monitor out so it feels like it’s just the two of us.”
Stacey, who also has Zachary, 11, and Leighton, eight, from previous relationships, said she is glad that Joe understands her hesitance to venture out without their son.

She concluded: “I’m so glad he is embracing it all. Love you Joe Joe I promise we will get out eventually. When did you have your first night out post baby? Lots of people asking where our table and chairs are from. It was a # gift from @modafurnishings.”
Stacey later shared an Instagram Stories clip of them cuddled up in their garden and munching on chocolate.
