Stacey Solomon asks fans on social media for advice about baby Rex’s eyes

Ahead of her return to the Loose Women panel later this week, new mum Stacey Solomon has asked her fans for some advice about her newborn’s eyes.

Sharing an adorable picture of baby Rex – the tot she shares with boyfriend Joe Swash – Stacey apologised for the “baby spam” before posing her question.

“My blue-eyed, bath-loving baby boy,” she started.

Revealing that he would be 15 weeks on Thursday (September 5) Stacey continued: “You can’t see properly in pictures but his eyes are bright blue and there’s not a glimpse of brown! Could they stay blue?”

Saying that she was “sorry for the 99 questions”, Stacey explained that she and Joe both have brown eyes.

She asked: “So does that mean he will definitely go brown? Or could he be blue? When do they usually change?”

She added: “Sorry for the 99 questions, I’m just so intrigued! Blue or brown, what do you think?”

Stacey’s followers rushed to help out the mum of three.

One said: “I have three daughters and all of them have blue eyes . Myself and their dad have brown eyes.”

😬 The boys are back in town 😬 I’ve loved having some one on one time with Rex over the last 2 weeks but I can’t tell you how happy my heart is that all of my boys are back home and on the sofa giving me the best cuddles I could wish for! Summer is nearly over 😭 This one is an emotional one for me because after 2 years of homeschooling Zachary is off to Secondary School and I just can’t believe how quickly it’s come around. 😭 I’m going to make the most of the last few days of the holidays before my baby becomes a big boy! (He will always be my baby 👶🏻) P.S Rex’s face cracks me up! P.P.S is anyone else’s babies off to secondary school? Or recently started? What’s your best advise, hacks, tips? 🖤

Another said: “Both of my partner’s parents have brown eyes and his are the bluest of the blue (the same as his nan). Do any of your parents have blue eyes? Even though you guys don’t there is still a very small chance they will stay blue.”

Another got rather scientific and said: “Brown is the dominant gene but if both you and Joe have a parent with blue eyes then you will both carry the blue gene and so have a 25% chance of a blue-eyed baby.”

Fans also added another eye colour into the equation.

One said: “My girl was born bright blue eyes, when she was just over a year they changed and are now a grey/green.”

Eye colour aside, it was an emotional start to the week for Stacey.

She revealed that her eldest son Zachary was starting secondary school after being home schooled for two years.
