Stacey Solomon addresses cellulite and ‘leaking boobs’ in inspiring maternal message

She had been unsure about whether she should share the snap of her cuddling baby Rex

Stacey Solomon has been hailed for her honesty and openness on social media after the new mum refused to do herself down over her appearance.

The Loose Women favourite, 29, admitted to her Instagram followers she had been in two minds about whether she should share the snap of her cuddling baby Rex.

Showing the star wearing a top that appeared to be stained with breast milk, Stace came in for praise after deciding to do so because she is proud of her body.

Mum-of-three Stace also indicated she had experienced a wobble in her confidence because of how she perceives cellulite has formed on her leg.

She wrote in the pic’s caption: “I almost didn’t post this and then I remembered that… my cellulite is BEAUTIFUL and I used to pray for my boobs to leak.

“Nothing to be conscious about here! 💜”

Stacey’s sincere message came in for approval from tens of thousands of her fans – including celebrity pal Davina McCall.

“What’s interesting is that until I read the post Stacey I didn’t see your cellulite… and you are so right, it’s beautiful. You are beautiful. Love your posts so much,” the TV presenter responded.

I feel like I shouldn’t really have these feelings because I’m nearly 8 weeks in and I am so incredibly lucky to have amazing children, a wonderful partner, loves loving, caring, & supportive family and I’m almost a bit embarrassed to say… That truth be told, I’m Having a bit of a gut wrenching day. One of those days that physically hurts your tummy. I have absolutely no idea why. Mum guilt has kicked in full swing. Nothing in particular triggers the feeling. It’s just there. Tried to keep busy and organise the hell out of the house which has helped for short moments (but also felt guilty about it). So making a conscious effort to try to accept it and let the feelings come and go. I found this picture from a few days ago when I caught a rare snap of us both smiling at the same time (and when I’d miraculously found the energy to have fun with my make up drawer). I’ve been looking at it all day to remind myself that these feelings WILL pass and every day will be different. 💜 Thinking of anyone else having a struggle today or any day for that matter. 💜

Another fan echoed Davina’s point, saying: “Until you said never even noticed your cellulite. You are keeping it very real. This is a beautiful photo of motherhood in reality.”

“It’s actually nice to see some cellulite and some normality in a world full of filter 👊🏻,” remarked another observer.

And another uplifted supporter added: “Believe me and everyone else who looks at you and tells you …. you’re glowing my lovely! Happiness looks good on you! ❤️”

“Aw what a lovely message thank you xxx,” Stace replied.

Stacey returned to the issue in a later Instagram Stories post, offering a longer explanation about her feelings and reacting to her followers’ comments.

She wrote: “Loads of people saying on my last post how they didn’t even see the cellulite I mentioned! I wouldn’t either if someone else posted the picture!

“It’s so funny what we see on ourselves and how our minds can notice things no one else will. It just goes to show that we are our own worst enemy when it comes to body hang ups!

“That’s why even though I was hesitant (shouldn’t have been but was) I made myself post the picture because I loved it and I won’t let social standards define how I feel about myself!

“I do and will always make a conscious effort to love my body in all its glory – cellulite, stretch marks, the lot!

“It’s not always easy but it’s important! Shout out to each and every one of you amazing humans who build people up and make them feel enough!”
