Love Island’s Wes Nelson has admitted he’s gutted that Megan Barton Hanson has ditched him for another man – and isn’t being shy to flaunt her new romance in front of him.
The 20-year-old returned from the Casa Amor villa on Monday night to find love interest Megan, 24, has gone off with newcomer Alex Miller, 28, leaving him single.
It was a rather unfortunate turn of events for Wes, who had just days earlier ditched his partner Laura Anderson for Megan…
Naturally, it’s left Wes feeling annoyed, particularly as neither Megan nor Alex are making any attempt to hide their blossoming romance.

He fumes on Tuesday night’s episode that he could hear Megan and Alex kissing in bed after the recoupling, saying: “[I heard] kissing. And it was coming from Meg’s side of the room. I looked over. Even just hearing them laughing…
“I was upset and there was a moment when I was in bed looking at the ceiling and I could hear kissing and I was like ‘you are taking the micky.’
“I understand why she’s done it but it’s a massive kick in the teeth.”
Wes and the other boys were sent to Casa Amor a few days ago, where they were introduced to six new females, all single and ready to mingle.
Back at the villa, six new boys entered to attempt to woo the original female islanders.
While Wes chose to remain loyal to Megan, she quickly fell for newbie Alex and coupled up with him, meaning it was VERY awkward when Wes returned to the villa single, expecting to pick up with Megan where they left off.
Wes is now having to adjust to life back in the villa with both original partner Laura and Megan happily coupled up with new men while he’s single.
He admits: “It’s happened so I’ve got to dust myself off now. Whether I can pick things back up with Meg, who knows? I’m not going to make myself look like a mug. I’ll just have to see where the wind takes me… Am I going to beg for Meg back? No.”
Wes and Megan aren’t the only romance that’s been pulled apart by the Casa Amor twist.
Josh Denzel dumped Georgia Steel in favour of newcomer Kaz Crossley, while Sam Bird and Samira Mighty ended their coupling in order to hook up with Ellie Jones and Frankie Foster.
Laura, meanwhile, chose to recouple with Jack Fowler, while Ellie Brown ditched Dr Alex in favour of Charlie Brake, and Dr. Alex went off with Grace Wardle.
Adam Collard, who was coupled with the now-dumped Zara McDermott, chose to partner up with Darylle Sargeant.
The only couple that survived the recoupling was Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham.
