Love Island SPOILER: Wes kisses Laura before questioning his loyalty

Could their fledgling romance already be on the rocks?

Love Island’s Wes Nelson and Laura Anderson have shared the FIRST steamy kiss of the series (we aren’t counting the kissing challenge last night!)

But could their fledgling romance already be on the rocks?

In a word, er, yes, after Wes snogs Laura in Wednesday night’s episode then finds out two new ladies are entering the villa and doesn’t rule out recoupling with them.

Laura was briefly tempted by newcomer Adam Collard earlier in the week, leaving Wes uncertain where he stood with her.

But after a chat with Dani Dyer, who insists Laura likes him, Wes feels confident enough to tell Laura: “If you didn’t step forward would I have chosen you? God’s honest truth, yeah I would.

“You’ve ticked every box. I’m not just saying that as well. Your eyes are daft. They are daft. Your personality, you’re so sweet. It’s hard to find someone genuine and nice.”

Laura replies: “You’re so cute. I feel the same. I’m happy.”

They share a cheeky snog in bed leaving Wes confident about their coupling.

He tells the Beach Hut: “I’m feeling really good about Laura, and I think she’s in the same boat as me.

“We’ve finally agreed we’re on the same page. I think it’s going to progress gradually and hopefully goes into something that’s long term.”

Er, hold that thought, Wes…

After the boys find out two new ladies will be entering the villa on Wednesday’s episode, he seems to have a change of tune.

Wes declares: “We’re on Love Island, not Loyalty Island. We’re here to find the girl of our dreams, not to stick with the girl that we’ve been partnered with from the start, that’s the point of it.”

Oh dear…

That’s not likely to go down well with Laura who spends Wednesday night’s episode telling the islanders how much she likes Wes.

“He’s so cute and affectionate and that’s what I really like, and he’s always hugging me when I’m cold,” she gushes.

“And it’s like little things isn’t it. It’s just caring, and you need that when you’re in here. And I kind of, oh God this is so cringe, but I can’t wait to get into bed and have a little snuggle and fall asleep.”

Laura adds: “When we were all sat by the fire pit last night he put his arm around me. And I liked it. Then in my head, I thought ‘I do fancy him.’ And then I thought ‘I wonder if tonight in bed we might have a little spoon. And then I thought ‘right, don’t get carried away.’”

Viewers will see newcomers Rosie Williams and Georgia Steel arrive on Wednesday night’s episode.

The boys are challenged to host a drinks party for them, while the girls are banished inside to watch proceedings from the balcony. Ouch!

Love Island continues 9pm on ITV2.
