EastEnders SPOILER: New images reveal Ben Mitchell’s fate

Plus, will Phil Mitchell be out for revenge?

Last night’s episode of EastEnders saw Ben Mitchell get horrifically beaten up by his ex-boyfriend Luke Browning, leaving his fate hanging in the balance.

When Ben rejected Luke’s advances, the angry businessman violently attacked his ex and the last image we saw of Ben, played by Harry Reid, was his lifeless, bloody body motionless on the ground which led fans to speculate as to whether the character’s final scenes had played out sooner than anticipated.

However, new pictures have been released this morning confirming that Ben pulls through and is being cared for in A&E, much to the relief of his fans.

The images see Ben laying in a hospital bed, sporting wounds from his attack, while his parents Kathy and Phil stand at his bedside.

Although Ben seems to have had a lucky escape this time, it’s no secret that this Christmas will see the end of the road for the character. Actor Harry Reid, who has plays Phil Mitchell’s son, revealed to radio station 103 The Eye that his exit is “exciting, it’s typical Ben.”

He cryptically continued: “It’s a big storyline and it will have people vouching for different sides.”

The question on everyone’s lips now is whether Phil, notorious for his temper, will be seeking his revenge on Luke.

Fans took to Twitter to speculate how the Square’s resident tough guy will react.

One user tweeted: “Phil Mitchell is going to hunt down and destroy Willmott-Brown and Luke for what Luke did to Ben. I can’t wait #EastEnders.”

Find out exactly what happens to Ben in EastEnders on Monday 4th December at 8pm on BBC One.
