Coronation Street’s David Platt will join forces with Billy Mayhew in a bid to get revenge on his rapist Josh Tucker.

Although on our screens, Josh has just been arrested for sexual assault, spoilers have warned that he doesn’t stay banged up for long…

And now we’re told David decides to seek revenge when the police fail him.

Upcoming episodes will reportedly see him track Josh (Ryan Clayton) down, with the help of troubled vicar Billy.

The pair find him in a pub, where he appears to be targeting another victim.

The mechanic, who has been released from police custody, is seen chatting to a male in the canalside watering-hole.

As David (Jack P Shepherd) watches from afar, the scenes are all too familiar to the night when Josh drugged and raped him.

After months of inner turmoil, David finally admitted the truth about the attack to his girlfriend Shona.

When he discovered that Josh had raped before, and probably would again, he reported him to the police.

But sadly, he no longer has any forensic evidence.

In future episodes, David confides in Billy (Daniel Brocklebank), who is set to become his ally and confidante.

Billy is back wearing his dog collar after falling on hard times and battling his own demons with alcohol and drugs.
