Love Island’s Alex George has told newcomer Ellie Brown he’d like to couple up with her at the next recoupling.
The 27-year-old A&E doctor has been coupled up as friends with Samira Mighty since day one, but his head has now been turned by the arrival of Ellie.
Things have been going well between Alex and business development manager Ellie, 20, so far, as they shared a kiss on their first date and over breakfast the morning after.

In Wednesday night’s episode, Alex decides to go for the plunge and lay his feelings out for Ellie.
Alex tells her: “I just want to say, I think when it comes to recoupling, if I lay my cards on my chest, I probably would quite like to recouple with you, if you felt the same kind of way.”
Meanwhile, Alex also admits in Wednesday’s episode he feels a bit “embarrassed” by the fact all the islanders keep giving him love life advice.
“I’m sat there, I’m 27 years old, I’m getting pep talked by a load of people I’ve known for two weeks on how to kiss a girl. How embarrassing,” he confesses.
Fans were thrilled when Alex got his first romantic kiss of the series when Ellie chose him for a date on Monday evening.
He followed up by making Ellie an outdoor breakfast the next day, which resulted in a second kiss.
If Alex and Ellie did couple up, it would leave Samira vulnerable…
And there’s also a possible spanner in the works as Wes Nelson has admitted he’s also attracted to Ellie, which has caused trouble in his current romance with Laura Anderson.
Wes, 20, has already hinted to Ellie he would be open to exploring things with her as although he’s happy with Laura, 29, he could possibly be “happier” with someone else.
Meanwhile on tonight’s episode the fallout from Rosie and Adam’s split continues, with Rosie attempting to seek revenge on Adam by showing him what he’s missing.

The solicitor, 26, dons her sexist underwear for a photoshoot in the backgarden, conducted in Adam’s sight.
However her plan backfires when gym owner Adam, 22, declares he’s not attracted to the posing or interested in Rosie.
