Love Island’s Alex George is feeling pretty good after BOTH new islanders admit to liking him.
The 27-year-old A&E doctor decides it’s time to “change tactics” when Zara McDermott, 21, and Ellie Brown, 20, enter the villa on Sunday night.
His new tactic is to go straight in and be more upfront about his feelings, after losing Megan Barton Hanson to Eyal Booker last week.
After receiving a text that two new girls are on their way (while the female islanders are at dinner outside the villa!), a thrilled Alex declares: “It’s double trouble isn’t it?
“There’s two girls coming in, hopefully one of them’s the right one. Or both. No joking, just one will do!

“The tactic this time is to get to know both of them very, very quickly.
“If one of the girls is right for me then go for it.”
Alex, however, admits he’ll have his work cut out for him trying to get some alone time with Zara or Ellie when all the other outgoing lads are around.
“I’m with a loud bunch of boys. Five wing men,” he says. “I’ll be lucky to get any words in but they’ve all got good intentions. Fingers crossed I get a few words, I’ve got to make those words count. Let’s see. It’s exciting to have the opportunity.
“Two new people to meet as well, I’m very excited.”
Alex is currently coupled up with Samira Mighty, although they’ve both acknowledged it’s a coupling based on being friends rather than anything romantic.
While he’s excited about the chance to get to know Zara and Ellie, he’s also adamant he won’t couple up if there are no genuine feelings.
“I really want to meet someone on the island, but I want to be true and honest to myself. I’m not going to just couple up with someone for the sake of just wanting to stay on the island,” he says.
“It’s a matter of finding and meeting someone I genuinely have a connection with, that I genuinely fancy and like and I want to be with.”
Alex has a good start, though, as both Zara and Ellie admitted to fancying him before entering the villa.
And after chatting with both women, he admits things are going well.
He’s confident there could be a spark with Ellie, gushing: “Ellie could be a bit of me. She could be a bit of me. I think it takes me time to say 100% but I think there’s a possibility.”
But there could also be a spark with Zara, who seems pretty smitten with him!
Zara confesses: “Alex I think is literally the loveliest guy I’ve ever met. He’s so nice. I’d definitely consider pursuing things with him and seeing where things go.”
However, the path of true love never does run smooth and Alex may face a bit of competition as Adam Collard, now coupled with Rosie Williams, also admits to fancying Zara…
