Spice Girl Mel B boots her mum out of family home in Leeds

She wants more space with her daughters

Spice Girl Mel B has booted her mum out of the family home in Leeds, West Yorkshire, after moving in with her kids.

The singer, 44, is reported to have moved her mother, Andrea Brown, into a nearby cottage so she and her daughters can have more space.

Mel made the revelation during a question and answer session at her Brutally Honest stage show in London.

According to The Sun’s Bizarre column, interviewer Louise Gannon asked her about it and she replied: “Yes, I am living at my bloody mother’s house. She comes over every morning to cook breakfast, nosying, what’s going on in her house, which was her house but is now our house, Mum.

“I’m so grateful and thankful that I can be around my family again and my kids around my family.”

Mel, whose dad Martin died from blood cancer in March 2017, has had a difficult relationship with her family in the past.

They reportedly had a falling out over her relationship with former husband Stephen Belafonte, whom she married in 2007.

But they split up in 2016 and Mel reconciled with her family shortly after. Now, the star maintains a close relationship with her mum and sister Danielle.

Mel currently has her daughters Phoenix, 20, and Angel, 12, living with her in the UK.

But her youngest, eight-year-old Madison, is living in the US with her dad, Stephen.

Of her daughter being so far away, Mel said: “Unfortunately, my child is a US citizen so I have to go through a court system where I have to ask for a relocation court acceptance. That’s in place as of next week and I might not see her for the next three months. It’s heartbreaking.”

Earlier this week, it was reported that Mel B will be replacing funnyman Paddy McGuinness on Celebrity Juice.

The Take Me Out presenter was confirmed for the outrageous panel show earlier this year, but has since had to pull out due to “scheduling” conflicts.

Mel has vowed to give host Keith Lemon “a run for his money” when she makes her debut on the panel and teased “things are going to get even more crazy”.
