Spencer Matthews went on ‘countless trips’ to design Vogue Williams’ diamond engagement ring

His efforts paid off.

Vogue Williams showed off her amazing engagement ring yesterday after Spencer Matthews popped the question on Tuesday.

Now the Made In Chelsea star has revealed the elegant three-cut diamond design was his own creation and he put his heart and soul (as well as a lot of money!) into making it a reality.

Sharing a close-up picture of the dazzling gems on his betrothed’s engagement finger on his Instagram account, he wrote: “My friend Neil @duttsonrocks and I really enjoyed the journey of making this beautiful ring for my fiancée @voguewilliams.”

He added: “I loved designing it and believe it suits her perfectly… the countless trips to the workshop in Hatton Garden became worth it the moment she said yes!!!”

Vogue, 32, also shared the same image with her Instagram followers, writing: “I can’t stop staring…@spencermatthews you’ve found your calling in life, I want you designing all of my jewellery from now on.”

The couple’s fans agreed and complimented Spencer on his good taste.

One wrote: “Absolutely timeless! What a beautiful ring for a beautiful couple,” while another said: “Stunningly good taste.”

A third said: “Spencer, you’ve done a tremendous job!” while a fourth said it was a, “Beautiful, classic choice.”

As previously reported by ED!, Spencer went down on one knee on stage at The Lyceum Theatre in London’s West End after the couple had enjoyed watching a production of The Lion King.

The 28-year-old said he wanted the engagement to have a Disney theme as the couple’s first holiday together had been to Disneyland Paris.

Spencer said: “I’ve known Vogue was The One for a long time. We’re very happy and in love. She’s my best friend and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.”

The pair, who met while filming Channel 4’s The Jump, will now start planning their nuptials.

Given Spencer is worth an estimated £2.9m, it’s bound to be a lavish affair. Can we get an invite?!
