Television presenter Simon Thomas is set to return to work this week – 18 months after the tragic death of his wife Gemma.
Simon, 46, will be joining This Morning as he presents a three-part segment on mental health.
The segment, Pursuit of Happiness, will involve Simon exploring alternative methods of wellbeing in the UK.
This will include cold water swims, equine therapy and hiking.
Billed by ITV as Simon’s “emotional return to our screens for This Morning,” the first segment will air this Wednesday.
In the brief promotional clip, Simon is shown swimming in a river and hugging a group of hikers.
“Being out in the fresh air is definitely good for the heart and the soul,” he tells the cameras.

Presenting veteran Simon lost his wife Gemma to cancer in 2017.
She passed just three days after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.
They had been married for twelve years and are the parents to their now nine-year-old son, Ethan.
Simon has tweeted about the new show and says this is the first time he has returned to work since his family’s tragic loss.
Nineteen months after the last time I was able to work and after many doubts I would again, I’m very proud to be doing this for @thismorning starting this coming Wednesday. #mentalhealth https://t.co/pQg8lkl9N5

Simon is a devout Christian and is now dating his church Minister’s daughter Derrina Jebb, 27.
He previously told This Morning about his new love: “What I saw in her, I saw in Gemma. When she said my phone is always on, she meant it.”
