Simon Cowell ‘dumps acts from BGT after learning they are pros’

The show runner has decided that he doesn't want professional performers on the show anymore

This is a weird one.

It has been reported that Simon Cowell has cut various acts from Britain’s Got Talent, after he discovered that many of them were “professional” performers.

The Daily Star says that auditionees have been dumped off the line up after their past careers were revealed.

One of the viewer faves to be cruelly axed is Sian Patterson, who touched viewers with her emotional performance of the Ghost song With You.

She was kicked to the kerb after it was discovered that she was an “accomplished” and professionally trained singer.

Apparently, she has already been part of the UK tour of Strictly ABBA and has sung professionally at various private and corporate events for over 15 years.

Not that this bothered Simon last year when Rachael Wooding, a seasoned musicals star performed the very same song!

Also getting the chop are flamboyant acrobats Gao Lin and Liu Xin (below) from Beijing who have previously been on Asia and China’s Got Talent and even got engaged on stage!

Meanwhile, balloon gobbling TanBa from Japan (below) has been a professional magician for some time, and bendy lasses Angara Contortion are members of Cirque de Soleil.

A show insider sniped: “A lot of the acts who are in the semi-finals are genuine performers looking for their first break rather than ‘Second Chance Charlies’.”

So where does that leave scoliosis suffering dancer Julia Carlile (above) who we revealed had been on a CBeebies talent show a year before her appearance on BGT?

Hmmm…
