After a tough 2016, Sheridan Smith came back fighting in 2017 with a new album, her own one off TV show and several other TV projects.
And let’s not forget her role in this year’s festive fave, David Walliam’s TV adaption of his book Ratburger, as lazy Stepmother Sheila.
Right now though, the 36-year-old is letting her hair down and relaxing after she jetted off to Mexico for a festive break.
She hit Instagram with a couple of posts, and we’re not even slightly jealous, honest!
One shows her in the pool on an inflatable doughnut.
And another sees her listening to Basement Jaxx’s song Romeo as she bops along, blowing out smoke out of her mouth.
In another post, the bikini-clad Funny Girl actress simply captioned the shot ‘Paradise’.
Fans were loving the sun-drenched shots, and the fact that the entertainer was looking so relaxed.
The actress, who has been very open about her hitting her low point and her anxiety, is still struggling to help get it under control.
She revealed: “It’s a weird thing because people just go, ‘Pull yourself together’ and that’s the worst thing you can say… You can’t help it. Unfortunately it just comes. It’s an issue that I have that I’m working on.”
But the star will be back on stage in April when she goes on tour with her debut album.
She added: “I’m filming an ITV drama at the minute, then a Channel 4 drama after that then I’m going on the road, I’m touring with the album which I’ve never done and I’m terrified.”
The tour, including a date at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall, will start on April 10.
