Their reported argument was news to him!

Coronation Street actor Shayne Ward has laughed off reports that he and fiancée, Sophie Austin had a “blazing row” at Tuesday night’s National Television Awards.

He posted a selfie of his comedy-confused face for his 373,000 followers on Twitter and wrote: “Interesting read this morning. News to us baby @SophieAustin1. Anyway ready to enjoy a day off with my girls.”

Fans seemed amused by his reaction, telling him to just: “Enjoy your day with your family”.

The report claimed the newly-engaged couple had a “massive row” in the early hours of Wednesday morning, which left them both feeling embarrassed and angry.

Good to hear it’s not true!

Hollyoaks actress Sophie, who stars in Call The Midwife this week, replied to her beau’s tweet on Wednesday morning, writing: “News to us. Anyway hurry up we are hungry #itslunchtime.”

It came after her 12.30am tweet that she was heading home early, writing: “Great night at @OfficialNTAs but home to bed as little one will be up crack of dawn #mummylife”.

Fans seemed more interested in how great the soap couple looked and rushed to tweet compliments, calling the pair: “Beautiful.”

Shayne, 33, and Sophie, 34, are parents to daughter, Willow May, who they welcomed in December 2016 after a year of dating.

They announced their engagement news on Boxing Day, with a picture of the sparkling diamond ring and Shayne’s sweet caption: “Mrs Ward to be”.

The X Factor winner and Corrie star – who won Best Newcomer at last year’s NTAs – has spoken often about how much he loves family life with Sophie.

He recently revealed to The Mirror: “I was born to be a dad. It is my sole purpose. Everything else in life is a hobby.

“People say I was born to sing but I think I was born to be a dad.”

And he has big plans to expand the family, adding: “I want seven kids because I am one of seven kids. But if we were blessed to have another two or three, that would be great.

“Obviously it depends on Soph as well because she’s an actress.”

Doesn’t sound like there are any problems in this relationship!
