Former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt has lifted the lid on her crippling anxiety condition, which can leave her feeling terrified and tearful.
The Geordie, 26, spends a lot of time on the streets as the presenter of Channel 4 dating show Streetmate.
And she revealed that she’s scared of being attacked with acid – and on occasions has been unable to leave her own house.
She told The Mirror: “Recently, my anxiety has been really bad, especially after seeing those acid attacks on the news.
“I’d cry for two hours in the morning, because I had it in my head that people would see the [Streetmate] camera and that would make me a target.
“Sometimes, I would pass out… It became a daily struggle.”
And she admitted that there have been times when she couldn’t even face leaving her home.

“I would get to my front door, cry, then go back and try to pump myself up again,” she explained. “Sometimes, I stayed inside all day.”
Scarlett made her name on Channel 4 show Gogglebox, before going on to win last year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!
With her star rising fast, it’s inevitable that people are going to stop her on the street for a chat or a photo.
However, during a recent appearance on This Morning, she revealed her shock at being flagged down in Asda by a woman who, she says, bullied her when they were at school.

“[The woman] said: “My kids think I’m really cool because I’m friends with you,'” recalled Scarlett.
“And as soon as she said the ‘f’ word – the ‘friend’ word – I’m normally really calm but I was like: ‘We were never friends.
“‘I had to move schools because of you and your girl gang, because you were just awful to me. How dare you say that.’
“I just said: ‘I hope your kids never meet anyone who’s like you were at school.’
“And then I sort of had a mic-drop moment, where I dropped my basket and walked out.”
