Scarlett Moffatt has revealed that she lost 7,000 Instagram followers after voicing her support for the LGBT+ community.

The I’m A Celebrity and Gogglebox star vowed to “block out the haters” in a defiant image post.

Seen standing in a sparkling Pride outfit during a trip to New York, Scarlett posted, “Blocking out the haters with my rainbow sparkle.

“Living my best life this World Pride weekend in NYC thanks @gypsyblooduk for my amazing hat!!

Earlier, Scarlett, 29, had shared a picture showing her in front of a row of Pride flags.

She said: “Time to slightly rant: Coming to New York to celebrate world pride with my best friends and my mam.

“People are still losing their lives and being physically and verbally abused and outcast just because of their sexuality and it needs to STOP,” she urged.

“It makes me sad that since posting yesterday about my support of the lgbt community I lost over 7,000 followers, it really upsets me at the attitudes people have.”

Many of her two million followers jumped in to showed their support.

“I’d happily wave those 7000 goodbye!” one exclaimed.

“Clearly those followers weren’t worth having,” a third said.

Finally, another follower said: “Love who you want to love and live how you want to live. Everyone deserves to be happy.”
