Scarlett Moffatt has shared a sweet throwback snap on Instagram in response to recent comments about her appearance.
The former Gogglebox star wrote a lengthy caption alongside the picture from her school days as she urged her 1.7m followers to focus on a woman’s achievements over her looks.
She wrote: “This is me age 6. I have the same button nose, chubby cheeks & monobrow that I do now (just now highlighter and contouring exists ha).
“I also have the same attitude in that life is measured by how many times I laugh a day and how much love I have in my heart, because that’s all that truly matters!”
The former I’m A Celeb champ added: “Ladies, women, girls… despite what most media thrusts upon you … we are more than an aesthetic shell.
“I like to stay positive & focus on my fellow females’ achievements… as woman we are more than our looks, weight, clothes, our partner!!
“Stay strong & let’s not let this 2018 social conformity of behaving a certain way bring us down!! In the words of Little Mix’s Jade, ,we can wear what we want & twerk if we want, #girlpower.”
Scarlett’s post came after reports in some magazines alleging she was planning cosmetic surgery, after previously admitting to having lip fillers and teeth veneers.
Her fans have also commented on her recent Instagram posts to query if she’s already had a nose job (she hasn’t!), and urged her to not change her natural looks.
One wrote: “Stop doing whatever you are doing to your face! You look beautiful as you are.”

Another wrote: “You have changed so much since Gogglebox,” while a third said: “I agree. I wish she wouldn’t use filters as it’s sending out the wrong message to young ppl.”
Back in January, Scarlett replied to one of her fans directly who asked if she’d had her “nose done” to tell them she hasn’t gone under the knife.
She told them: “Hi no I haven’t it’s just make-up, my nose is bloody tiny anyway I mean just look at every other picture of me on my Instagram.”
In her throwback snap today to when she was a school girl, she reiterated how she’s always had a small nose and how she can make it appear slimmer thanks to make-up trickery.
Her post was well-received by her fans who rallied round to support her.
“Hear, hear Scarlett,” one wrote. Another said: “Go girl”, while a third said: “You are amazing. Don’t stop being you.”

Scarlett, 27, is expected to take a more prominent role in the last two episodes of Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway as Dec will front the show solo for the first time while his partner takes a break from TV commitments.
