Former EastEnders star Samantha Womack has shown a close sibling bond with her ex soap sister Rita Simons… by laughing at the I’m A Celebrity contestant’s misfortune in the jungle.
The Ronnie Mitchell actress gleefully teased her pal on social media last night as Rita swallowed down some gruesome concoctions during the Rancid Race challenge.
“This is more like it!”, Samantha told her 263,000 followers as the vile glasses of jungle juice – including blended crocodile anus and pulverised pigs’ eyes – were set out for the celeb campmates.
She crowed: “Making my sis drink something yukky. I’m so happy right now. Please make her gag, it will make me laugh so much.”

The 46-year-old star later took another friendly social media dig at her pal, pulling her up for not being ultra-competitive and chugging the gut-churning drinks during the immunity game.
“Little sips like it’s her favourite Oyster Bay wine!” mocked Samantha.
But it was clear Samantha was made up for her mate Rita when she surprisingly survived the vote off against Noel Edmonds, throwing the full weight of her social media support behind her close friend.
She gushed in a third tweet: “I know @OfficialRita really doesn’t care about winning, this girl always tells the truth – it’s why I love her!”

Fans were delighted with Samantha’s banter – and likened her poking fun at Rita to that of two real life family members.
“True feelings of a big sis,” one follower replied.
“There’s nothing quite like sisterly love,” another observed.
And a third joked: “Bet you’re voting for her for EVERY trial just so you can laugh at her.”
We wonder: when Rita sees just how much fun Samantha was having at her expense, maybe she will suggest her EastEnders sibling should sign up for the ITV reality show herself next year?
