Samantha Markle slams Meghan in explosive new documentary

She cruelly said the Duchess "doesn't have a heart"

The Duchess of Sussex’s half-sister, Samantha Markle, has made another vicious dig at her in a documentary about their family.

Samantha, who has repeatedly spoken out about Meghan since she became engaged to Prince Harry, has harshly criticised her yet again.

Samantha claims actress and philanthropist Meghan “doesn’t have a heart” in Channel 5’s new documentary, Meghan and the Markles: A Family at War.

The film explores the family’s dynamic and asks why none of the 37-year-old royal’s relatives, apart from her mother Doria, attended her wedding to Prince Harry.

When being interviewed for the documentary, Samantha, 53, speaks about Meghan’s relationship with her estranged father, Thomas Markle.

She said of the Duchess: “She doesn’t have a heart or she would have been doing everything she could to make him comfortable and reciprocate and be loving and gracious and make sure he’s comfortable in his old age.

“So broken heart? No, his heart is broken. She can’t turn herself into the victim here.”

It follows the furore that was caused after it was revealed that the Duchess sent 74-year-old Thomas a heartfelt letter.

According to sources close to Meghan, she begged her dad to stop talking about her in the media in a five-page note last August. But he then did an interview about the letter and called it a “dagger to the heart”.

Samantha, who has never held back in her past interviews about her sibling, went on to slate Meghan’s letter.

She continued in her interview: “That letter was strategic. It was so eloquently written and contrived. She was basically saying my dad had been a liar, that I was a liar.”

In her handwritten note, Meghan is said to have told Thomas that he “broke [her] heart into a million pieces”.

She wrote: “I have only ever loved, protected and defended you, offered whatever financial support I could, worried about your health… and always asking how I could help.”

Thomas did not attend Harry and Meghan’s wedding last May, following his ill health after a heart attack.

In the show, Samantha goes on to claim that she used to be close with Meghan, who is expecting her first child with Harry next month, but they lost contact as the Suits actress rose to fame.

The documentary airs tonight on Channel 5 at 9pm.
