When Sam Faiers posted pictures of her baby shower to Instagram yesterday, little did she know that they would spark such a debate.
The former TOWIE star, who’s due to give birth to her second child in November, was joined by family and friends as she celebrated the imminent arrival at the Down Hall Hotel & Spa in Hertfordshire.
She uploaded some gorgeous pictures of the occasion, which included a vintage afternoon tea, adding: “Such a lovely day with all my special ladies and [her sister Billie’s son] Arthur.”
And no sooner had she uploaded the snaps than fans began speculating about the sex of the baby.
Some of her followers were adamant that it’ll be female. One asked: “Have you got any names picked out for your baby girl?”
And another declared: “Defo a girl this time.”

But others insisted that Sam and her boyfriend Paul Knightley will be welcoming a second son.
“Bump looks like you’re carrying a boy,” pointed out one fan.
And a second fan agreed: “I’m guessing another little beautiful boy.”
Sam couldn’t even put the speculation to rest if she tried – she and Paul chose not to learn the sex of the baby until it’s delivered.
But appearing on This Morning in August, she said they had an inkling about what it’s going to be.
She told Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford: “I’m carrying a lot different to what I did with [first baby] Paul.”
And when Ruth asked if that meant the baby was female, she answered: “It could be. We’re keeping it a surprise but I’ve had a nice pregnancy again. I’ve had no morning sickness or cravings, but I’ve been extremely tired.”
Sam – who stars in her own ITVBe reality series The Mummy Diaries – gave birth to her first son in December 2015.
And though she must be exhausted after being pregnant twice in quick succession, don’t be surprised if she and Paul add to the brood at some point.

Before announcing her second pregnancy, she told Closer magazine that she wanted a big family.
“I’d love to have more babies,” she revealed. “Paul and I want five or six kids in the end.”
