Ryan Thomas worries fans with picture of him and his family

He's been reunited after months away from them

Ryan Thomas is back from Australia where he was filming Neighbours and has been spending time with his family.

But a snap posted to his brother Scott’s Instagram account has left fans concerned.

Ryan was enjoying a day out at the Trafford Centre after being reunited with his daughter, Scarlett, and his nephew Teddy, and posed alongside them and Scott for the picture.

Teddy was up on Ryan’s shoulders and they were standing right by a balcony, giving fans serious anxiety about the little boy falling backwards.

Scott captioned the image: “The big bro is finally back from smashing his time on Neighbours in Oz! We’re all buzzing to have him back even though Teddy doesn’t look impressed. Welcome Home bro.”

Fans were quick to flood the post with positive messages, most saying they had also been at the Trafford Centre and were “gutted” to have missed seeing them there.

“Gawjus family,” said one, and “Beautiful family,” added another.

But there were more than a few who were worried about Teddy.

“Love u all but this pic gives me massive anxiety cause there’s no floor behind Ted if he fell back,” said one.

Another added: “This is giving me the fear Teddy being up on his shoulder and no floor behind him,” to which someone replied:  “Me too that’s all I could think about looking at the picture.”

“Teddy on Ryan’s shoulders is sending my anxiety through the roof,” added a fourth.

We’re sure Teddy was being held onto tightly and Ryan was being a responsible uncle.

Family is everything to him and he must be delighted to be reunited with his clan.

He’s spent some months Down Under filming his guest role in Neighbours, but filming wrapped up on that last week.

He posted an image of his farewell get together with some of the Neighbours cast and crew – including Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson), Alan Fletcher (Karl Kennedy) and Olympia Valance (Paige Smith). Ryan’s girlfriend, Lucy Mecklenburgh, was also in the snap.

But despite the fact he’s back in the UK now, the distance from his family over the last few months has made him really homesick.

While he was away, he posted a picture to Instagram of his daughter, Scarlett, and nephew Teddy, having fun together, saying he was missing them.

He captioned the snap: “When @adamthomas21 sends you this picture, is when I miss home the most.”

Fans were quick to offer support to Ryan, with one saying: “You’re doing it for your daughter so just keep thinking that and time will fly by. I know it’s hard being away from your kids as I have two young ones myself but she understands.”

“Aww that’s so cute must be hard being away from your daughter and family but it’s for them in the long run. Good luck,” said another.

A third added: “But think of what you will give them in life and how lovely when they visit.”

But one person wasn’t quite so sympathetic, urging Ryan to return: “I think you should come back! She is only little once… and you will miss all the special moments… you are not doing it for her, you are doing it for you.”

However, others flocked to Ryan’s defence, with one insisting: “That’s quite a rude thing to say to him. He’s following his dreams as actor and providing for his daughter all in one.”

Ryan will play bad boy Rafael Humphreys during his stint on Ramsay Street.

Speculation had been rife he was set to join I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! after he finished filming on the soap as a replacement for Jack Maynard.

But now he’s back home, we think this rules him out of a return flight to Oz just yet.
