Concerned fans warn Ruth Langsford she’s putting her dog in danger

She had posted a video on Instagram

This Morning presenter Ruth Langsford has come under fire from her followers for sharing a video in which she is making her dog dance with her.

Ruth was holding her dog’s front paws up so she could practise her Strictly moves on the pooch, by shimmying back and forth.

The video, which has received almost 100,000 views in a day, has received a huge backlash after people worried the dog was in pain.

Lots of people thought it was cruel to make the dog dance and that it didn’t look happy at all. One person responded to the video by saying: “Nooo please put her down. This puts way too much pressure on her hips and spine.”

Another viewer responded with worry saying: “Cos that’s not hurting the dogs back legs AT ALL.”

While a third said: “That dog isn’t happy, that’s not nice for the dog at all and not good for it. Irresponsible.”

Ruth had captioned the video: “My Maggie helping me break my dancing shoes in….I’m worried….she’s got more poise & grace than me!!”

Ruth was trying out some steps for the new upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing as she is one of the celebrity contestants confirmed for the show.

Other contestants include Aston Merrygold from former boyband JLS, Mollie King from The Saturdays and Davood Ghadami who plays Kush in EastEnders.

Ruth revealed she was going to star in Strictly live on This Morning, in quite a dramatic way.

Her hubby Eamonn Holmes firstly teased that one member from the This Morning team would be taking to the floor and viewers were left speculating who it could be.

They then teased the announcement during a recent show by showing three doors, claiming Deidre, Chris and Gino were behind them. One door was to opened to reveal who was doing the BBC show.

But when the middle door was opened, there was Ruth!

The 57-year-old admitted that it had always been her dream to be in Strictly, and the show is set to air later this year.

It will be the first series without Len Goodman on the judging panel but there is a very exciting replacement.

International ballroom champion Shirley Ballas will be taking on the role of head judge alongside others Bruno Tonioli, Darcey Bussell and Craig Revel Horwood.
