Royal wedding: Kate Middleton criticised for dress

Many viewers thought she looked beautiful

Kate Middleton has been criticised on Twitter for her choice of dress for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore an Alexander McQueen "pale yellow wool silk tailored coat" paired with a statement hat.

Even though she looked stunning, some spectators said she shouldn't have worn that colour of dress for her brother-in-law's wedding.

One viewer wrote on Twitter: "How dare Kate wear this cream dress."

Another said: "I can’t believe Kate has gone and worn white/cream on the day of another royal wedding."

Others had similar views.

Despite some backlash, others praised Kate for looking so gorgeous less than a month since giving birth to her third child, Prince Louis.

One person gushed: "Kate Middleton looks breathtakingly beautiful," while another said: "I refuse to accept that Kate had a baby 3 weeks ago and now looks like that."

As for the couple's wedding rings, Kensington Palace released details of Meghan's wedding ring, which has been created from a piece of Welsh gold.

Prince Harry's band is platinum, with a textured finish. It's a break in tradition, as not many male royals choose to wear a ring.

They were created by Cleave and Company.
