Ronan Keating slams British actress for ‘queue-jumping’ at awards

He refused to name the famous face

Ronan Keating has hit out at an unnamed British actress for pushing past him at the GQ Men of The Year Awards on Wednesday night.

The Boyzone singer, who attended the star-studded bash with his wife Storm, claimed an A-list Hollywood star barged her way to the front of the queue of the red carpet to have her photo taken first.

Ronan, 41, recalled the moment on his Magic FM Breakfast show on Thursday.

He explained: “Everyone arrives and you know the red carpet gets backed up a little bit. Always at all these events, whatever you do there’s a little bit of a queue at the red carpet.

“So everyone is there. Storm and I are standing there and having a chat with Erin O’Connor, the model and [Gwendoline Christie] from Game of Thrones, she plays Brienne of Tarth, amazing actress, brilliant.

“We’re having a chat, having a bit of craic and I can see this figure coming. I kind of have my back to the red carpet and they’re moving at speed.”

Ronan continued: “There’s no one with them, they’re on their own. In they walk, past us, through the queue, past the whole queue, straight to the top of the red carpet, in front of the photographers and boom – hand on hip.

“You can just see everybody in the queue… I think everyone’s just looking, going, ‘who the… does she think she is?!’

“You wouldn’t mind if there was like one of these American publicist people going ‘out of the way, excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, gotta move, whatever’.

“But no, on her own, on her tod, walked straight in. Top of the queue, passed everyone and then stoney faced just stands there getting photographed. Seriously, who the eff…”

The big question: just who was the British actress?!

Well, Ronan said he wouldn’t name her outright but concluded: “We were disappointed, we wanted to really like her but we don’t anymore!”

Ronan and Storm looked very loved-up as they attended the prestigious event together.

Storm looked stunning in a one-shouldered gold sequin La Mania dress while Ronan wore a black tuxedo which he paired with a velvet bow-tie and white shirt.

The couple rubbed shoulders with a string of A-list actors and actresses, singers and presenters.
