Robbie Williams gets a fright as Ayda Field exacts revenge for TV prank

The popstar's been on the naughty step!

Robbie Williams learned a big lesson today: don’t make wife Ayda Field angry!

The popstar has been in Ayda’s bad books ever since he chose to flip her backwards on Graham Norton’s big red chair over the weekend.

In case you missed it, Robbie was a guest on the show, when Ayda rocked up to surprise him… but before she had a chance to speak, he pulled Graham’s lever and flipped her backwards.

Understandably, she was NOT amused!

So when Robbie was a guest on today’s Loose Women, as Ayda was on the panel, she took her chance for some sweet revenge!

Ayda decided to recount the story she would have told on Graham Norton if Robbie hadn’t so rudely cut her off.

And it made him squirm big time!

She told everyone: “I am married to a popstar who likes to go on chat shows and share a little too much about his life.

“Many years ago, when I gave birth to our daughter Teddy, [Robbie was on Graham Norton] and compared childbirth to watching his favourite pub burn down.

“On his last appearance on the Graham Norton Show, he discussed a super fan slash cleaner [called Maureen] who pleasured him at a country house.

“So I think today it’s time for me to get my revenge.”

As Robbie looked increasingly uncomfortable, Ayda continued: “What Rob doesn’t know is that I have got in contact with Maureen and she is here today to tell her side of the story.”

Looking off camera, Ayda said: “Maureen, come here!”

Cue Robbie genuinely looking scared!

Of course, it was all just a big joke, but Ayda did warn her hubbie that she and Maureen are now good friends.

Having recovered his composure, Rob joked: “I’m very good friends with Maureen too but the less said about that the better!”

He added: “I don’t want people to see Maureen, they would judge me badly!”

Robbie said: “I upset my wife, I will admit this on national television. I pulled the lever on the chair. I really didn’t know I’d be in trouble. I thought she’d find it hilarious!”

“Then I looked at Twitter and the internet shouted at me! ‘How dare he do that to his wife!’ I was gonna come off and go, [fist bump], and she was like, ‘No!’

“If you look up the definition of cheeky in the dictionary you’ll see people from Stoke-On-Trent. I’m from Stoke-On-Trent so I’m cheeky, that’s how it goes.”

Ayda joked it took a couple of hours of grovelling from Robbie and a trip to a luxury department store to forgive him.

Lesson learned!
