The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice has revealed how her jailbird husband’s weight is plummeting behind bars.
In an interview with E! News, Teresa told how hubby Joe had already lost 35 pounds just six months into his three-year jail sentence.
‘He’s lost over 35 lbs,’ the RHONJ reality diva said.
‘He’s doing the same thing I did: reading a lot of books, exercising, keeping his head focused on doing what he has to do.’
The 44-year-old added: ‘He said he’s done Yoga a few times…and he’s said he can’t wait to come home and do Yoga with me!’
The Bravo star then said: ‘It’s good for him to be healthy. He did have high blood pressure before he left because he was stressing so much…For him to get healthy and lose weight will be a good thing.’
Joe is behind bars for 41 months after being convicted on fraud charges.
He was jailed after Teresa also spent 11 months in prison in Danbury, Connecticut.
The beauty lost several pounds from working out two to three times a day to workout videos and yoga.
When he married Teresa in 1999 Joe was in shape.
But after helping raise daughters Gia, 15, Gabriella, 11, Milania, 10, and Audriana, 7 and starring in the Bravo reality show, Joe started to pile on weight.
Before starting his jail sentence the 5ft5in dad weighed over 200 pounds.
Talking about how her husband is baring up in prison, Teresa said:’He just can’t wait for it to be over.
‘He’s doing great, or as best as could be expected.’
She added Joe, 44, also had a rough time when Teresa was behind bars.
‘He was going through a hard time…He’s been through a lot. He lost his dad, all the legal issues, then I left,’ she said.
‘He’s an amazing dad. My daughters miss him tremendously.
‘They love daddy. They email him constantly. We talk to him every day, and we visit him every week.
‘There is a void in the house, and our family’s incomplete. He’s the missing piece.’
