George Clooney is slamming the French magazine that published the first photos of his infant twins Alexander and Ella.
Voici splashed blurry pictures of the actor and his wife Amal, each holding a baby, on the front page of the magazine, which hit newsstands today.
Topless George, 56, is seen cradling one child and his wife, wearing a sun hat and mini dress, is carrying the other.
The images were taken as the young family was enjoying the sunshine at the Clooneys’ Lake Como property in Italy.
After the photos hit newsstands, a furious George released a statement vowing to take action.
“Over the last week, photographers from Voici magazine scaled our fence, climbed our tree and illegally took pictures of our infants inside our home,” he said.
“Make no mistake, the photographers, the agency and the magazine will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”
He added: “The safety of our children demands it.”
The couple’s twins were born on June 6, making George a first-time dad after years of swearing that he would never have children.
The magazine fired back at the actor, arguing that they had a right to publish the photos, saying in a statement: “George and Amal Clooney have been very public personalities for the last few years.
“The birth of their twins, Ella and Alexander, has also been commented a lot, by themselves and their families.
“The images published in Voici this Friday are a response to a public demand. People love George Clooney and have been following his life story for years now.
“Those pictures do not put in danger Mr. Clooney, his wife or their kids.”
According to TMZ, the magazine may have a difficult time proving its case. Under French law, famous figures can only be photographed while going about their public lives.

There has to be a journalistic reason for doing so.
If the Clooneys sue, they would not be the first famous people to file a lawsuit after French paparazzi took photos of them on private property.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are currently suing Closer and three photographers for the publication of topless photos of the Duchess of Cambridge.
The images published were taken while the royals were sunbathing at a French chateau in September 2012.
