There can be nothing scarier than your first pregnancy, but it helps when you have awesome friends ready with biscuits.
Following the weekend’s lovely news that BBC Breakfast presenter, Steph McGovern is pregnant, her fellow TV star Rachel Riley has sent her love.

Tweeting the 37-year-old, Rachel wrote: “Welcome to the preggo club. You’ll love it, we have biscuits! 😜🤰🍪🍪🍪🍪😘.”
Steph, who has admitted to having a “rough start” to her baby journey so far, replied to the Countdown star, writing: “Ah thanks Rachel. 🍪 #lovebiscuits 😘😘.”
The pair’s fans loved the sweet exchange, piling in to comment: “Hope you can keep them down, don’t worry if you can’t, it will soon pass. Keep safe and well.” Another follower wrote: “Congratulations to both of you!” While a third added: “Lovely sisterhood on view!”

Others offered their own pregnancy advice, with one commenting: “Ginger biscuits, everywhere! Brilliant for the sickness. 🤢.” A second joked: “Biscuits? Can I join?”

Steph and her girlfriend confirmed their happy news on Sunday, with the star writing on Twitter: “I see my news is out! Yep, I am no longer with pot belly…… I am now with child. 🤰🏼 #babyonboard.”
Arriving at work on Monday, the funny newsreader admitted all the well-wishes were “quite overwhelming” and jokingly referred to an incident in 2018 that saw fans mistakenly wish her congratulations on being pregnant.
She said on the BBC programme: “Last year I was like, ‘I’m not with child, I’m with pot belly’, as that’s what I was with. But now I am actually growing a human.”
Steph also admitted morning sickness had been a problem, revealing: “Charlie nearly got watermelon over him one morning.”
Meanwhile, Rachel, 33, announced her own pregnancy in May. She’s expecting her first child with former Strictly Come Dancing professional, Pasha Kovalev.
The married pair have since shared many sweet snaps on Instagram.

On Wednesday, Rachel revealed she and new husband Pasha, 39, were at the beach, writing beside a shot of herself: “The new joys of pregnant married life – Pasha digging me a belly hole on the beach for my bump each day! ☺️ Thanks for the @dock_and_bay beach stuff Deborah Meaden, absolutely loving my poncho! 🤰🌈👙🏖🎪😎🇪🇸 #beachchic #bumpstyle #dockandbay.”
