Prince George invites his classmates to Kensington Palace for a playdate

The host with the most!

He recently accompanied his little sister Princess Charlotte on her first day at school.

And heir to the throne Prince George is apparently so popular at Thomas’s Battersea that he’s invited a handful of his friends home to Kensington Palace for a playdate.

However, unlike most of the other kids in his class, George lives in an actual palace.

Which means that any visitors to his not-so-humble abode will have to be rigurously security checked before they pop in for tea.

A source told The Sun that George’s parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are thrilled that their eldest child is making lots of new friends.

They said: “Kate and William are delighted that George is getting on so well at school and that he’s made friends and, just like any normal child, he has invited a few of his mates on playdates.”

The source added: “It’s just that most schoolkids don’t go somewhere like Kensington Palace to see their friends out of lessons.”

Claiming that his pals will have “the run of the palace”, the source revealed more about the checks involved in a visit to the royal residence.

They said: “It does involve a bit more planning than a normal playdate, as everyone visiting the palace has to be security vetted.”

Earlier this year, to celebrate his sixth birthday, George invited his pals to a football-themed party at the palace.

The tot is also said to be keen on ballet. Cruel American TV host Lara Spencer was recently forced to apologise after poking fun at the tot for taking ballet lessons.
