You would never guess just from looking at the invites!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have just sent out 600 invites for their May wedding.

And it’s emerged there is a romantic detail hidden within each invite that could go unnoticed by their lucky guests.

The invites have been printed using American ink on English card, paying tribute to both the couple’s backgrounds. Aww!

Kensington Palace confirmed the invitations have been printed in gold and black, then burnished to bring out the shine, and gilded around the edge.

They were created by London-based printer Barnard and Westwood, which hold royal warrants for both The Queen and The Prince of Wales.

The company have been making royal invitations since 1985.

Lottie Small, who recently completed her apprenticeship, was in charge of printing the invites and told The Telegraph the whole process was so hush she couldn’t even tell her mum who is on the guest list!

“The worst thing is keeping it from mum. With anything else, she’d be the first person I would call and she’d share in my excitement,” Lottie said.

The 24-year-old said she was “unbelievably excited” to have been given the job of printing the coveted invites.

Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, have invited 600 guests to watch them tie the knot at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on May 19.

The guests will then attend a lunch reception hosted by The Queen.

Later in the evening, a smaller number of 200 will remain for an exclusive reception thrown by Harry’s dad, Prince Charles.

Meanwhile, official china to mark Harry and Meghan’s wedding has gone on sale.

The collection of china is cornflower blue and white, featuring a monogram of their initials in the centre, tied together with white ribbons and surmounted by the coronet of Harry.

Harry and Meghan both approved the commemorative china, which is available from The Royal Collection Trust.

In a nod to their wedding venue, the border of each piece is inspired by the ironwork of the 13th century Gilebertus door at St. George’s Chapel.

Among the china on offer is a coffee cup for £25 and a plate for £49.

All profits from sales go to The Royal Collection Trust, the registered charity responsible for the care and conservation of the Royal Collection, and the promotion of access and enjoyment through exhibitions, publications, loans and educational programmes.
