The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have divided fans with their birthday message to niece Princess Charlotte.
Charlotte is celebrating her fourth birthday today and Kensington Palace released three adorable photos of the little girl to social media to mark the occasion.
Meghan and Harry, who are expecting their first child, left a sweet message on the post to wish Charlotte a happy birthday.

The Palace shared a snap of Charlotte climbing a fence as she smiled at the camera.
It was captioned: “Thank you for the lovely messages for Princess Charlotte’s fourth birthday!
“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share three new photographs of Princess Charlotte ahead of her fourth birthday.
“The photographs were taken in April by The Duchess at Kensington Palace and at their home in Norfolk.”
A message from Meghan and Harry’s own Instagram account, Sussex Royal, said: “Happy Birthday Charlotte! 🎂🎈Lots of love, H and M xo.”
While many royal fans praised the touching message, others criticised the couple for not addressing the little girl by her royal title, Princess Charlotte.
One person said: “@sussexroyal *Princess Charlotte, every other Royal account addresses the Princess by her proper title maybe you should as well.”
Another wrote: “@sussexroyal it’s Princess Charlotte for you BOTH, H and M!” while a third commented: “@sussexroyal It’s hard to put Princess Charlotte? Sign of respect anyway.”
Others defended the couple.
One person said: “These comments are insane. It’s their niece, as if they’re going to refer to her as ‘Princess’ Charlotte.”
Another wrote: “I think this sweet, I don’t know why people are causing so much issue over this,” while a third added: “They are allowed to Call her by her first name. They are FAMILY. Titles don’t matter when it comes to FAMILY.”
Meanwhile, other fans couldn’t believe the resemblance between Charlotte and her great grandmother, the Queen.

One person wrote on Twitter: “Princess Charlotte reminds me of Queen Elizabeth II.”
Another said: “She does really look like the queen doesn’t she!” while a third agreed: “She looks so like the Queen!”
