How exciting!

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex may be expecting a baby girl if Lorraine’s psychic cat’s latest prediction is correct!

The royal couple announced on Monday that they are expecting their first child together, five months after they tied the knot.

On Tuesday’s Lorraine, Phoenix the ‘psychic cat’ – who made a series of true predictions during the World Cup this year – predicted that Harry and Meghan will welcome a daughter next spring.

Host Lorraine Kelly said: “Obviously the Palace is standing by, they’ve been waiting on this all morning – the psychic cat.”

A clip of Phoenix was then shown, which saw the feline standing in front of two food bowls – one with a pink flag and one with a blue flag.

Without hesitation, Phoenix started eating from the pink bowl, meaning he believes Meghan and Harry will have a little girl.

The show’s showbiz correspondent Dan Wootton joked: “Oh my goodness, it’s a girl. There’s no doubt.

“Well, we’ve learnt what the gender is six months before the world.”

Lorraine added: “He was straight in there.”

Back in August, Phoenix had correctly predicted that host Christine Lampard was going to have a girl.

Christine welcomed her daughter Patricia with husband Frank Lampard in September.

Meanwhile, earlier in the morning, Lorraine’s TV pal Piers Morgan made his own prediction about the royal baby.

He joked that Meghan and Harry’s little one will be a “gender fluid vegan” during Tuesday’s Good Morning Britain while discussing how the couple will bring up their tot.

He said: “There’s so much to say about a woman who’s three months pregnant. Will it eat meat or will it be a vegan?

“I reckon [Meghan] will put it through the ringer and it’ll be vegan. It’ll be a gender fluid vegan.”

The couple’s pregnancy was announced on Monday morning, just hours after they touched down in Australia.

A spokesperson said: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.

“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public.”

Speculation that Meghan, 37, was pregnant began swirling on Friday when she attended Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank wearing a loose fitting coat.

Their baby will be seventh in line to the throne.

Meghan and Harry are currently on their royal tour across Australia and will also take in visits to New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga.

Kensington Palace confirmed no changes to the planned itinerary have been made despite Fiji and Tonga being listed as countries that pose a risk of Zika transmission; Zika is a virus that can cause birth defects.

The palace said medical advice had been taken ahead of the trip.

The couple’s first day in Oz was a busy one as they visited Admiralty House, the official Sydney residence of the Governor-General of Australia, where they met representatives from each of the 18 countries who will compete in Harry’s Invictus Games 2018.

They also visited Taronga Zoo to open the Taronga Institute of Science and Learning as well as meeting two koalas named after them. Cute!

Meghan and Harry then enjoyed a boat trip across Sydney Harbour to Sydney Opera House, where they watched a rehearsal of Spirit 2018 by the Bangarra Dance Theatre.

Their day concluded with a reception at Admiralty House where they mingled with locals.

Meanwhile, according to BBC News, Harry said: “Thank you for the incredibly warm welcome and the chance to meet so many Aussies from all walks of life.

“We also genuinely couldn’t think of a better place to announce the upcoming baby, boy or girl.”

Meghan told well-wishers the couple were “so excited” to become parents, and was thrilled to be presented with a cuddly kangaroo toy, which she said was their first baby gift.
