The One Show presenter announces pregnancy

And she seems over the moon about it

Angela Scanlon is often seen on our TV screens hosting BBC’s The One Show.

But it looks like it’s about to become the TWO show for the popular Irish presenter – the 33-year-old has announced on social media that she’s expecting her first child with husband Roy Horgan (so actually, that should probably be the THREE show!).

The redhead posted a cute picture to Instagram, in which she looked absolutely thrilled to share the news.

And fans of the star are clearly just as happy, filling her comments box with congratulatory messages.

In Angela’s pic, she’s seen beaming from ear to ear in a smart pink suit as she points towards her tummy.

The pic is captioned with the words: “SO. I’ve been baking for 6 months now… and I’ve made a bun! It’s currently in the oven & will be ready by Springtime.

“We are so, SO thrilled (since I’ve taken my head out of the toilet bowl) and can’t wait to welcome a mad, wonderful little human into our world.”

She concludes her post with the quip: “Really hoping he/she is ginger.”

And Angela – who also co-presents BBC show Robot Wars – was soon being showered with verbal pats on the back.

One fan enthused: “So thrilled for you @angelascanlon. It’s the best club you’ll ever join!”

Another added: “Congratulations!!! Best thing you will ever do. Life-changing for the absolute better x.”

And a third gushed: “Fantastic news, Angela!! Delighted for you!!”

While she’s been appearing on The One Show since 2015, her role on the programme became a lot more prominent from January this year when she started standing in for full-time presenter Alex Jones.

Ironically, the Welsh host was off on maternity leave. She’s back on the show now, but we still see Angela from time to time.

She’s also fronted two series of the popular mech mash-up Robot Wars alongside Irish comedian Dara O’Briain.

But very soon she’s going to have to give it all up to become a mummy – and judging by her Instagram post, she can’t wait.
