GMB presenter stunned by his co-host's revelation!

Piers Morgan was stunned on Good Morning Britain when Susanna Reid admitted she lets her 12-year-old son watch Love Island.

Susanna’s confession came as Piers, 54, ranted about how only “idiots” watch the ITV2 reality show.

“Do you want your kids to watch this, your sons?” the father-of-four asked his co-host, who admitted she loves the show.

“They watch it,” Susanna, 47, replied defiantly.

“You let them watch it! How young is the youngest?” an incredulous Piers replied.

When Susanna told him her youngest is 12, Piers exclaimed: “You are letting him watch that programme with young people basically trying to have sex on live TV?”

Susanna disagreed that was the motivation of the contestants.

“They actually have pretty good morals compared to some of the stuff that’s on television, it is much more moralistic” Susanna said.

For once, Piers was actually lost for words as he held his head in his hands in despair.

“You’ve silenced him!” newsreader Charlotte Hawkins exclaimed.

“I obviously don’t let him watch it when it gets rude,” Susanna continued of her son, Jack. She also has two teenage sons, Finn and Sam.

“A little bit later in the series we won’t be watching,” she continued.

When Piers had recovered from his shock, he told viewers they would have a political debate next, which would hopefully help them “regain some brain cells” after “Susanna Reid and Charlotte Hawkins led the charge to moralistic Love Island.”

On previous series, viewers have watched many of the Love Island contestants have sex as they compete to stay in the villa by finding true love.

The topic was raised following the return of the hit ITV2 show on Monday evening with record-breaking viewing figures.

Last night, the group played a game where they had to snog the boy or girl they thought had committed a revelation such as “cheated on all their girlfriends” and “used a musical instrument as a sex toy”.

Piers was exasperated that so many people watched the show, instead of news and current affairs programmes like Newsnight.

Susanna told him he was “out of touch”.

Meanwhile, it was announced today that Piers and Susanna’s banter won’t just be on in the morning.

The pair will also front a one-off special, Good Evening Britain, which will be a a live, late-night version of the ITV breakfast programme, broadcast immediately after England’s World Cup match against Belgium.
